"description":"Trap Site is the public data collection for cooperators in the Alberta Insect Pest Monitoring Network. A cooperator uses the survey123 form once per site to register a trap location and create the site point. The form records the site name, the insect being monitored, the number of traps (1, 2 or 3), the install date, the surrounding crop or habitat. Each site is linked to the cooperator who established it through their enrollment ID.Every site monitors one of four insect pests: Diamondback Moth (Plutella xylostella), Bertha Armyworm (Mamestra configurata), Wheat Midge (Sitodiplosis mosellana), or European Corn Borer (Ostrinia nubilalis). All traps at a site monitor the same species. Once a site is registered, trap counts are submitted against it on each visit through the separate Trap Counts form. The data underpins the network's risk maps, outbreak forecasting, and crop protection decision support. Exact trap coordinates are confidential. Public maps and downloads display locations only at the centre of a 38 km grid cell or broader.",
