The data includes information on applications and authorizations for term licence, preliminary certificate and temporary diversion licence under the Water Act. The data visually represented includes the following: 1. applications in received and decision complete status for surface water and groundwater diversions under a licence (defined as a \u201cdiversion of water\u201d under the Water Act). 2. authorizations in active and inactive status for surface water and groundwater diversions under a licence (defined as a \u201cdiversion of water\u201d under the Water Act). Alberta Environment and Protected Areas collects this information under the following sections of the Water Act: Licences - Section 50(1) and 54(3); Temporary Diversion Licences - Section 62(1); Preliminary Certificate - Section 66(1) and Transfers - Section 81(1). The information collected under the Act may be disclosed under Section 15 of the Water (Ministerial) Regulation.",
