20210626 03185400 1.0 TRUE Piping Plover Waterbodies This layer represents the Piping Plover Waterbodies fill area with a boundary outline, which includes all water bodies as of 2009 with confirmed breeding pairs as determined by annual surveys. An enitire water body is considered a nesting site. Piping Plover lakes were determined by clipping mapped waterbody features to survey points. Accuracy of hydro layers is limiting, and it is recommended that all proponents measure setback distances from the high-water mark. Copyright Government of Alberta
