Changes in Parks Operations Division Management Area boundaries are often related to changes in program administration and/or staff reporting structure. Boundaries are based on existing data (see " Data Source Description"), usually traced. In general, accuracy is +/- 5m where a Management Area boundary follows ATS or hydrography. Accuracy can decrease to +/- 20m where boundaries follow source data features which have been updated from IRS imagery.
Legal subdivision, quarter section, section, township ATS datasets and the Provincial Boundary dataset are all used to properly position or align Parks Management Area boundaries.
