Changes in Parks Operations Division District boundaries are often related to changes in staff reporting structure. Boundaries are based on existing data (see " Data Source Description"), usually traced. In general, accuracy is +/- 5m where a District boundary follows ATS or hydrography. Accuracy can decrease to +/- 20m where boundaries follow source data features which have been updated from IRS imagery.
Legal subdivision, quarter section, section, township ATS datasets and the Provincial Boundary dataset are all used to properly position or align Parks District boundaries.
