Geothermal Agreement feature class contains provincial extent polygon features representing Geothermal agreements with varying term dates and conditions. A geothermal lease is issued for an initial term of five years.<\/SPAN><\/P> Alberta Energy and Minerals is now accepting applications for geothermal leases from companies interested in exploring for and developing geothermal resources. These applications are necessary for any stand-alone geothermal operations that would occur below the base of groundwater protection.
