Description: This data set is a classification of the ownership parcels from the Land Ownership data set. Classification is based on Certificates of Titles that are in the name of municipal, federal and provincial crown agencies. Alberta Land Titles supplied an XML export from their land titles database containing only crown "owned" and Nonpatent parcels. The polygonal extents are compiled in the Alberta Data Partnerships Ltd. (ADP) Urban and Rural Cadastral Mapping Program using the compiled cadastral layers as base information. This dataset does not contain information for the City of Calgary as the data for this municipality is managed by the city independently.
