description: The Submit Trap Counts form is the recurring data-entry survey for the Alberta Insect Pest Monitoring Network. Submitted by an approved cooperator each time traps are checked. Minimum submission frequency: weekly for all species. Wheat Midge: twice weekly during peak flight (June, July). For each visit the cooperator selects one of their active registered sites, records the visit date, and enters a count for each trap, with an optional close-up photo of the trap contents. A visit can be logged as a count, maintenance, or both, and the form supports monitoring for Diamondback Moth, Bertha Armyworm, Wheat Midge, and European Corn Borer. The site average is calculated automatically on submission, skipping unrecorded traps. Each trap count has an optional photo for future training of an insect identification model.
licenseInfo: Exact locations are confidential and public outputs display only at the centre of a 38 km grid cell or broader. For use by the Insect Pest Monitoring Modernization
