Service Description: Alberta Wildfire - Ignition Exposure - Summer service consists of the raster dataset for the summer and fall conditions version of Ignition Exposure and is created using the most recent version of the FBP Fuel Type dataset. Ignition exposure is a metric of landscape fire exposure based solely on a grid cell’s proximity to nearby hazardous fuel capable of transmitting fire to its location, and expressed as percent exposure values. Certain parameters within the ignition exposure algorithm can be defined such as search radius, distance decay functions, input data, and fuels classifications. For the analysis provided the following parameters were defined:Grasses treated as non-hazardous2 km search radius with a distance decay function to represent spotting distanceC-1 to C-7 and boreal mixed woods with a 50% or more conifer component were defined as hazardous100m X 100m Alberta FBP Fuel Types
