Service Description: This web layer contains an approximated visualization of the following Alberta School Authority boundary information for 2024:1) Separate School Authority Boundary (2024)The School and School Authority Boundaries is an approximated visualization of the School Authority boundary information that is currently available on the Alberta Education public website. The information has been informed by Ministerial Orders and is presented in a mapping format and is intended to give a reasonable representation of school authority for separate, public and the historical 4x4 school districts.This data should be used with caution as it contains a number of problems that can impact display and analysis. The data contains multipart polygons, gaps, slivers, and unattributed polygons which could be lakes. The data has been aligned to the provincial boundary but not to other Alberta datasets such as the Alberta Township System, Base Water Features, Indian Reserves or Metis Settlements.
