Description: This layer represents the Invasive Species Observations points identifying observations from the FWMIS database by species. An invasive alien species or invasive species are non-native species that have been intrduced, intentionally or unintentionally, from other counteries or ecosystems and threaten Alberta's ecosystems and biodiversity. Aquatic Invasive Species information is collected by stakeholders and internal staff of Alberta Fish and Wildlife. This layer is auto-populated as new information is loaded into the Fish and Wildlife Management Information System (FWMIS). Data contained in this layer is provincial scope, and is raw (unhazed), and may require users to define or select specific survey data herein. This layer is not visible when zoomed out beyond the scale of 1:433,342. Data User Limitations This layer is to be used for general public knowledge.
