Parent Layer: Bull Trout Lotic Fish Sustainability Index

Name: Bull Trout Overharvest Protection Need - Generalized

Display Field: FishAndWildlife.GDB.FSI_HUC_WATERSHEDS_GENERALIZED_500K.NAME

Type: Feature Layer

Geometry Type: esriGeometryPolygon

Description: This layer represents the Bull Trout Overharvest Protection Need which is determined by the amount of overharvest protection that is needed based on current fishing effort. This layer is symbolized according to a rating of Very High, High, Moderate, Low, and Very Low. The HUC Watersheds for this layer have been generalized using the Simplify Polygon ArcMap tool in which Point_Remove simplification algorithm was used. The Point_Remove is based on the Douglas and Peucker algorithm for point removal. The feature class used for this layer, FSI_HUC_WATERSHEDS_GENERALIZED_500K, is derived from the feature class, FSI_HUC_WATERSHEDS, residing in the Fish and Wildlife GDB in SDE and is intended for map production use at the provincial level only. This layer should not to be used for data analysis or for cartographic representation lower than the specified scale of 500K. This layer is not visible zoomed in beyond the scale of 1:866,686.
