Prevalence of Low Income by Age. After-tax household income in 2010. The after-tax low-income measure (LIM-AT) is not related to the low-income cut-offs (LICO) presented in the 2006 Census and prevalence rates are not comparable. Direct comparisons with low-income estimates from other surveys, administrative programs or previous censuses are not advisable. The prevalence rates observed in the 2011 NHS at the national level are about 1 to 2 pp higher than those for similar concepts in other programs. However, comparisons within the NHS for different geographic areas or demographic groups, as presented here, are valid. |
