Description: Carbon Sequestration Agreement feature class contains provincial extent polygon features representing Carbon Sequestration evaluation permits and leases, with varying term dates and conditions.A Carbon Sequestration lease grants, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the lease, the right to drill wells, conduct evaluation and testing and inject captured carbon dioxide into deep subsurface reservoirs within the location of the lease. An evaluation permit grants, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the permit, the right to conduct evaluations and testing, including the drilling of wells and injection of substances as approved by the Regulator, into deep subsurface reservoirs within the location of the permit to evaluate the geological or geophysical properties of the deep subsurface reservoirs for the purposes of determining their suitability for use for the sequestration of captured carbon dioxide.The data has been compiled and approved by Alberta Energy and Minerals up to the time period of content date.
