Service Description: "These layers support the Land-use Framework Indicator Reporting Portal, and includes supporting indicators published in Table 1 of the Lower Athabasca and South Saskatchewan Regional Plans. Monitoring, evaluation and reporting are key activities for the success of a regional plan. To respond effectively to changing circumstances and new information, government must have a way to assess regional planning progress on objectives and outcomes and initiate corrective action where required. These supporting indicators show the broad economic, environmental and social outcomes desired for the region.Each dashboard on the Land-use Framework Indicator Reporting Portal allows users to visualize performance for their planning region and make comparisons between planning regions across the province. This interactive portal can be used by government, stakeholders and Albertans to monitor key performance metrics and communicate progress made towards regional and provincial objectives and outcomes. The Land-use Framework Indicator Reporting Portal is a destination for Albertans that provides a snap shot of key performance indicators. Indicators are organized around strategic outcomes identified by Albertans during a series of regional planning sessions. The Land Use Secretariat is responsible for collecting data for these indicators over the span of the regional plan and for monitoring the data trends showing changes occurring in the region."
