Authority to use public land is granted through dispositions issued under the provisions of the Public Lands Act. A disposition is a land use contract that gives specific rights to a land or resource user (e.g. lease, license, or permit). The Digital Integrated Dispositions (DIDs) data is maintained by Alberta Data Partnerships Ltd., on behalf of Alberta Environment and Parks. Alberta Data Partnerships Ltd. compilation methodology has significantly changed for this dataset and now included attribution for the dispositions from Alberta Energy's Electronic Transfer System (ETS) sourced from the Geographic Land Information Management Planning System (GLIMPS). The data has been compiled and approved by Alberta Environment and Parks up to the time period of content date. |
