Predicted Crossings are developed by the Watercourse Crossing Program to inform where to inspect and assist with prioritisation for remediation. Attributes include information on the stream order, the upstream distance, owner and disposition, Code of Practice Classification, Federal Critical Habitat. If an inspection < 5 yrs old is nearby, the predicted crossing is indicated as inspected. If consent is obtained from the crossing owner, these sites also include field inspection data to show the crossing type, if it has concerns for fish passage, and if plans are in place to fix barriers to fish migration. Only plans for 3 years are presented, owners may have longer term plans. This Predicted Crossings are produced twice a year. After crossings owners submit new inspections (November 30) and after crossing owner submit action plans for non-compliant crossings (April 1). The attributes are updated frequently, when new information on the status of watercourse crossings is submitted. Predicted Crossings Public is derived from data where consent has been given to release the data under the open licence terms of use. Crossing owners, regulators and those working on behalf of crossings owners to achieve the objectives of the Watercourse Crossings Management Directive, can request access to a similar dataset with more attributes under a restricted use licence. |
