Description: FWMIS Simplified Hydrology Arcs is a derived layer from the FWMIS Hydrology Arcs feature class, which in turn is a derived layer from the BFD SLNet Hydrography. FWMIS Simplified Hydrology Arcs has been modified for Fish and Wildlife business purposes, where spatial adjustments and field attributes have been added or removed as required. Modifications include, but are not limited to, the addition of a 'Species Presence' field, edits to spatial and non-spatial components, removal of topological error, and annual maintenance as required. 'Species Presence' is updated quarterly (approximate) or as new information becomes available.Base Features Derived Simplified Line Network (BFD SLNet):The BFD SLNet base is a simplification of the Base Features Single Line Network (BF SLNet) which involved removing or manipulating all features that do not form simple geographic connections. Due to the simplification process that was applied to the BF SLNet, the BFD SLNet contains fewer streams than the BF SLNet and no streams that have been split on characteristics other than confluences. The simplification process removed approximately 30% to 40% of the arcs present in the BF SLNet. For problematic flows, such as secondary flows, the arcs are deleted. Unsplitting does not remove the linework but multiple arcs are now identified as only one arc. All problematic features in the BF SLNet are removed from this dataset to facilitate the assignment of Strahler Order. Description: This dataset is produced for Alberta Environment and Protected Areas. Authority to use public land is granted through dispositions issued under the provisions of the Public Lands Act. A disposition is a land use contract that gives specific rights to a land or resource user (e.g. lease, license, or permit). The Digital Integrated Dispositions (DIDs) data is maintained by Alberta Data Partnerships Ltd., on behalf of Alberta Environment and Protected Areas. Alberta Data Partnerships Ltd. compilation methodology has significantly changed for this dataset and now included attribution for the dispositions from Alberta Energy's Electronic Transfer System (ETS) sourced from the Geographic Land Information Management Planning System (GLIMPS).
The data has been compiled and approved by Alberta Environment and Protected Areas up to the time period of content date.

Description: A Crown land reservation is a tool under Section 18(c) of the Public Lands Act, to identify a management intent that will inform and provide direction to potential land users and regulatory bodies as authorized under the Public Lands Act. A reservation is not a disposition, does not grant any rights to public land or rights to access or occupy public land or rights to the resources on the land or under it. The Crown Land Reservations dataset displays reservations under application or active with their associated data attributes allowing users to view and access existing or proposed reservation information that could influence their application if a proposed activity intersects. Description: This data set is a classification of the ownership parcels from the Land Ownership data set. Classification is based on Certificates of Titles that are in the name of municipal, federal and provincial crown agencies. Alberta Land Titles supplied an XML export from their land titles database containing only crown "owned" and Nonpatent parcels. The polygonal extents are compiled in the Alberta Data Partnerships Ltd. (ADP) Urban and Rural Cadastral Mapping Program using the compiled cadastral layers as base information. This dataset does not contain information for the City of Calgary as the data for this municipality is managed by the city independently.
