The 1M Willmore Wilderness Park 1:1,733,371 to 1:433,343 layer represents the Willmore Wilderness Area in the Province of Alberta.
The layer is based on the Alberta Environment and Parks Base Features Parks and Protected Areas in Alberta feature class which is comprised of all of the parks and protected areas polygons in Alberta and is visible between the scales of 1:1,733,371 to 1:433,343.
The protected area boundaries consist of sites administered by Alberta Parks, the Government of Alberta. National Parks, because of their similar intent, are also included.
The boundaries have been interpreted from written legal descriptions appended to Orders-in-Council. In case of discrepancy between the GIS data and the written legal description, the written legal description shall take precedence.

The data used within this layer is licensed to be distributed by AltaLIS Ltd. and is available at no cost under the Open Data License.
Government of Alberta departments and authorized agencies may conditionally use this data for internal business purposes which includes conditional sharing of the data with other third parties (i.e. contractors, stakeholders) if necessary for reasonable use of the data relating to the provision of services to the Crown as represented by each Ministry.
